La Granja

Ideal for:  Anyone wanting a quick, delicious meal that isn’t fast-food;Those that like Pollo Tropical

Cost: inexpensive (many meals under $10)

Offerings: Peruvian chicken, steak, and seafood

Experience: I hit up this place when I am craving some yellow rice and perfectly seasoned chicken, but do not want to cook.  I always get the same thing when I go which is the half chicken, yellow rice, black beans, plantains, and a drink for under $9.  I like how the staff switches from Spanish to English back to Spanish effortlessly depending on who comes up to the register.  The condiment bar has a selection of marinated onions and sauces. The sauces: A white garlic, a tangy, green garlic, a spicy red, and a bbq assist to dress up your chosen meat. I always take my food to go, but if you choose to stay you can enjoy the reggaeton and bachata playing while you dine.

Seating:  Plenty of moveable booths and arm-less chairs in this fast-casual restaurant makes it pretty hassle-free to stay and dine.
