Bambu Drinks & Desserts

Ideal for: Bubble tea enthusiasts

Cost: Inexpensive

Experience: Eating and drinking are my jam.  When you combine both, I get really excited. That is why I absolutely adore bubble tea. It is like a two-for-one deal.  I am always on the hunt for a bubble tea place.  Atlanta has a plethora of options as far as bubble tea is concerned. South Florida does not (makes sense to me). Bambu happens to be a chain offering Vietnamese style drinks and desserts with locations spread out across the country.  This Bambu is situated in a shopping area filled with Vietnamese businesses.

Before going inside, I had a vague idea of what I wanted. I scanned the menu in search of bursting boba because I enjoy the tiny, flavor explosions released from each spherical capsule.  That is something I knew I definitely wanted There was no bursting boba in sight.  Like many ladies my age, I decided to settle. I chose a lychee milk tea with lychee jelly. I was in a very lychee mood.  When I received the drink, I noticed that it had both the boba (tapioca balls) and lychee jelly.  It was a bit too much of a good thing.  The drink was okay. I don’t think I will ever do lychee on lychee again.  I recommend changing it up a bit. It is not Bambu’s fault, but my own.  When I go back in the future,  I will be more cautious about my drink choice.

Seating: Couches and arm-less chairs are available on the inside and  arm-less chairs outside

Pros: Lots of drink choices

Cons: No bursting boba

Verdict: Worth a try!
